Editorial policy
Genuine News Dispatch aims to make the processes behind news easier to understand. We write with care about what can be established, make uncertainty visible and correct errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, dates, quotations and descriptions against suitable available material before publication. We use precise wording, distinguish established facts from interpretation, and avoid presenting general explanations as accounts of a particular newsroom unless the basis is clear.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to the publication's subject, not to secure favourable coverage. We disclose material interests that could reasonably affect a piece and do not allow a partner to approve independent editorial conclusions.
Corrections
If you believe a published passage is inaccurate, contact us with the article title, the wording in question and any supporting context. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors with a clear note where the change materially affects the meaning.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is clearly identified as such and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are labelled so readers can distinguish illustrative imagery from documentary photographs.
News is made in stages, not delivered whole.
Understanding those stages helps explain why a story can look different across formats, without assuming that every change is a distortion.
