Write for us
We welcome proposals that help readers understand how news is gathered, edited, formatted and delivered, from the working logic of a bulletin to the history of a distribution channel.
What to propose
Pitch a focused, evergreen piece with a clear reader question and a distinct angle. We are interested in careful explanations, comparisons, media histories and thoughtful examinations of common assumptions about news production. Avoid pitches that depend on unverified insider access, confidential information or sweeping claims about all newsrooms.
Make the case
Tell us the proposed title, the central point, why the subject fits Genuine News Dispatch and what reliable material or expertise would support it. Note any relevant interests or prior publication. A short outline is more useful than a finished draft sent without context.
Where to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial option and including your pitch in the message. A proposal is not a commission, and we may edit accepted work for clarity, accuracy and fit.
News is made in stages, not delivered whole.
Understanding those stages helps explain why a story can look different across formats, without assuming that every change is a distortion.
